Course Overview
The course is a classic Jack Nicklaus design with 18 well crafted golf holes and water in play on 10. It is generous of the tee with well placed bunkers greens that present a wonderful challenge.
There are five sets of tees. Pros play form the Blacks at 7,677 yards, low handicaps from Blues at 7,142 yards, high handicappers from the Whites at 6,535 yards or Greens at 6,118 yards and the Reds for ladies play 5,392 yards.
The greens are built with the same grass from Jack Nicklaus's course at Muirfield Village in Ohio and they have been designed to USGA specification. This means you get near perfect surfaces that are fast and true and the undulating nature of the greens makes these one of the best putting tests you will ever face.
Killen Castle has a terrific blend of finishing holes designed for dramatic swings in any matchplay game. The par 15th is a reachable par five, the 16th is an intimidating par three over water, the 17th is all pressure with a lake down the entire right side and there is tough dogleg uphill par four to finish.
