Faldo should take note that zoom lenses can be more of a threat than JB Holmes over long distances!

My golf may not be quite in the same league as Lee Westwood's, but we do at least have one thing in common. Like me, hes been forced to take valuable time off work recently due to a bad bout of tonsillitis. The news of his illness received so badly by punters that, according to one bookmaker, they deserted Europe in droves and made America favourites for the Ryder Cup next week. But the Daily Mail reports encouraging news ,that the man thought so critical to Europe's cause...
By Steve Gaisford

NICK ‘OK guys, put your lifejackets on, strap yourselves in and I’ll fire up the jets’ said the bloke called Steve with a manic grin on his face. Only he didn’t say jets, he said ‘jits’ cos this is New Zealand and we were off to play golf on the ninth most beautiful course in the world.

RHOD We did have a choice, mind. Either a forty minute drive around Lake Wakatangi out of Queenstown via the airport and out along the...
By Rhodri Williams

I'm sure like me you're wondering where the summer disappeared to. As I write this first blog from the departure lounge at London's Gatwick Airport, I can't help but think I'm not the only person who has made a last minute dash for some sunshine.

My flight's delayed, so as I tune into the latest offerings on my iPod I drift into thoughts of the upcoming Ryder Cup. I imagine Nick Faldo arriving at the check-in desk to be greeted by a young lady telling him...
By Steve Gaisford
