The European Tour season culminates in the Dubai World Championship, where the best in the world compete for over 8 million euros in prize money. The Championship returns to Greg Norman's "Earth" course at the Jumeirah Golf Estates located just south of the city center. Most of the victorious European Ryder Cup team will be participating, as will the rest of the top 60 players on the European Tour from 2012.

With the real estate boom in Dubai came an increase in the number of golf courses around the city. Some, like the Earth course, are private. The best bet for the visiting golfer is the home of Dubai's other European Tour tournament, the Emirates Golf Club and its partner, the Park Hyatt Dubai hotel.

Centrally located near the airport and the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, the Park Hyatt offers everything the Dubai traveller is looking for. Five world-class restaurants, the Amara spa, and private chartered fishing trips and yachting adventures are only some of the amenities available at this 5 star hotel.

The Emirates Golf Club is home to the Omega Dubai Desert Classic and features two courses, the Majlis and The Faldo. The Majlis was the first all-grass golf course built in Dubai. The Faldo is the only golf course in Dubai lit for nighttime golf, which is really important in a city where temperatures can reach upwards of 100 degrees in the summer. Both offer immaculate conditions and a true test of your game.
