About the Golf Club
Sheringham Golf Club was formed in 1891 as a nine hole course, which was extended in 1898 to a full eighteen holes.
The course is laid out on the west side of the town on a strip of rolling, gorse-clad cliff top that lays between the preserved North Norfolk Railway and the North Sea. Noted for its long par 4 holes it is a severe test of players' ability.

Beautiful course in a beautiful setting, my favourite of the 3 courses on the North Norfolk coast. The 5th sums up what Sheringham is all about, perched up high overlooking the surrounding countryside, sea, and the hole!; which at well over 400 yards is the toughest hole on the course. The condition of the course when played was superb, the clubhouse standing the test of time, making the 1st my favourite hole, not the fact I parred it twice in two rounds! The course is relatively flat considering how high you get for the 5th hole; many holes being birdieable for your average hitter. Highly recommended.
