About the Golf Club

Ross is a woodland course carved out of an oak and silver birch forest and standing on the 1st or 10th tee it is hard to believe that this excellent layout has only been in existence for 40 years.

Its tree lined, undulating fairways and small well contoured greens test all golfer's repertoire of shots. Ross is a course that demands strategy, creativity and most of all patience as well as that elusive golf talent to hit a ball consistently straight.

We received a very freindly welcome at the course, on the 1st Nov, a bright sunny day & had a great time. The course is quite challenging with wayward drives being severely punnished but good tee shots can be very rewarding. The leaves on the ground made it quite difficult to find your ball at times but the greenkeepers were working hard to remove them. The greens were in very good condition and had a true roll. This is a thouroughly enjoyable course with very friendly staff and members
