About the Golf Club
The two Monifieth courses offer golf for all levels with the larger course, The Medal, elected by the Royal and Ancient GC of St. Andrews as a final qualifying course for the 2007 Open Championship.
The Medal Course is Length: 6655 yards, Par: 71, SSS: 72f.,
This course has recently undergone a 3 year recovery programme under the head greenkeeper Scott Rennie and is in excellent condition with well grassed narrow running fairways, lush semi-rough, penal heavy rough and fast consistent greens not to mention the deep revetted bunkers to test any standard of golfer.
The Ashludie is Length: 5123 yards, Par: 68, SSS: 66f.,
A compact and challenging test of golf, the Ashludie course designed by James Braid requires more brain than brawn, demanding accurate iron shots to the well respected greens.
At just over 5000 yards in length this course offers any golfer immense enjoyment played on its own or as a second round in a days outing.

We played on May 23rd, 2008 in cold and windy, though dry conditons. A special mention to the reception we received from the starter. We were greeted by handshake, offered a coffee and useful tips how to handle the course in those windy conditions. Some extra tips were given by the professional. They made us feel as welcome guests. We played the first 6 holes along the railway directly into the wind making them tougher then they probably are. Hard, rolling fairways and very good greens makes the course a pleasure to play
