About the Golf Club

The Lee Valley Regional Park stretches an incredible 26 miles along the leafy banks of the River Lee, from Ware in Hertfordshire, through Essex, to the Thames at East India Dock Basin.

The 18 hole parkland course offers a challenge to players of all handicaps, with several holes running around the lake. The course is open to all standards of players, members and non-members alike. An interesting and cleverly designed course with water in play on 10 holes using the natural features of a large lake and the River Lea.

The lake is home to many birds and for those who enjoy nature there is even a specially designed bird hide so you can watch the wildlife on the lake. The large rolling greens have earned a well respected reputation for their year round consistency and lightning pace. Although a short yardage, a true test of golf is experienced by all standards due to the narrow fairways and water hazards, Visitors are challenged to play to their handicap!

Have recently taken up the game of golf and found this to be an excellent place to learn. Its friendly, very challenging (particularly the narrow fairways) and really excellent value for money. Its certainly not a big course, but the range of par 3 and 4's really do give the amatuer and beginner something to test themselves on. The greens really are very good (far better than other courses nearby), and the course enables you to play a range of middle and short iron shots.
