About the Golf Club

Laleham Golf Club, established in 1903, is the only Club situated on an island! The island is formed by The Abbey River (a sidearm of the River Thames) on one side of the course and the Thames on the other.

The clubhouse, originally a grand cricket pavilion has seen recent renovations, and over the years has evolved and become the thriving and lively club that it is today.

The 18-hole course stands on 100 acres of meadowland on the opposite side of the River Thames to Laleham Village.

This is a mature, flat parkland course very close to the River Thames. Despite its proximity to the river it appears to drain surprisingly well. Some of the holes are quite tricky, and overall the course has an ambience of having been around a long time as it was founded in 1903. The course is reasonably well maintained, but not immaculate.
