About the Golf Club

The Knotty Hill golf centre just outside Sedgefield offers a comprehensive range of challenges to test all levels of golfer, whether high or low handicapper. It has two fabulous, eighteen hole parkland courses, both of which are quite long - the Princes course is 6577 yards whilst the Bishops is 6365 - and demanding.

The undulating fairways make play difficult and good knowledge of your clubs is essential if your approaches to the greens are to be successful.

There are also many wooded areas on the course, as well as numerous water hazards, so any lapses in concentration can expect to be severely punished.

have played at knotty hill on several occassions and found that both the a&b and c&d courses are excellent value for money.the a&b course are the harder of the 2 due to the fairways being tighter and the trees and rough being more established.the course is in fairly good condition but found the greens a little pebble dashed as other players have not repaired their pitch marks. the staff are very friendly and the facilities are excellent with 3 different options of a driving range as well as a practice bunker and 2 large putting greens. I can;t wait until the new 9 holes they are constructing are finished as it will give a player even more options when booking
