About the Golf Club

Kilton Forest is probably the finest public golf course in the Midlands, owned and maintained by Bassetlaw District Council and provides excellent value for money for all.

Built on sandy land, Kilton Forest boasts a facility that allows for golf all year round with its excellent drainage. The 18 hole par 72 course is both challenging and friendly to experienced and novice golfers alike.

Visitors are most welcome and can warm up before play on our superb landscaped putting green and chipping area.

For a municipal course this is not bad at all. Undulating fairways and the odd water features make for some good variety. It has wide forgiving fairways and large receptive greens which will yield a lot of birdie opportunities for those of you out there who are good at getting on greens in regulation.
