About the Golf Club

Herons´ Reach Course
This par 72 Championship course, opened in 1994, is maturing into a challenge for golfers of all abilities.

Despite being set in a 200 acre parkland and lake estate, the course has a links feel to it, being just 10 minutes from the coast. The fairways are well maintained, but expect to be punished if you land in the rough, and the wind off the sea may cost you a few shots.

Lakes guard a few greens, but hold your nerve; good approach shots are well rewarded.

This is a very pleasant course to play and considering the weather and amount of rain the previous week, was also well looked after. There are some good tight holes but too many holes (par 4 & par 5) that are reachable in either 1 or 2 shots. Saying that there are some tough holes and likeable par 3's. The greens were good and true despite the amount of traffic as there were many people on the course and the time of year. Very good and interesting course and would visit again!!
