About the Golf Club

Darland Golf course is a full 9 hole parkland golf course located on the Welsh border between the Wrexham and Cheshire villages of Rossett and Pulford.

Constructed in 1999, the golf course has matured into a challenging, 3054 yard golf course with lush fairways and large receptive greens.

Darland Golf course is situated in 65 acres of flat, tranquil Welsh countryside, with views of the Clwydian Hills and Trevalyn Meadows, the golf course is a superb test for Golfers of all levels. Golf club hire is available for those without them.

The Greens and Tees are constructed to USGA specifications, with comprehensive drainage and a computerised irrigation system to enable play throughout the year.

Darland Golf course remained open throughout the ‘wet year’ of 2005/6 without ever using ‘temporary greens’ or artificial tees.

The 9th is the signature hole of the golf course, featuring a left hand dog leg with a testing approach to the green defended by a lake to the right and large established trees to the left.

I played here on a midweek afternoon last month and was pleasantly surprised. There is obviously a plan that the bottom of the flag should not be visible from the tee. This is mainly because almost all the holes are dog-legs but the short 8th has a green hidden by trees from the tee.
