About the Golf Club

Croham Hurst golf course, designed by F.G. Hawtree and James Braid, was opened as an 18 hole course on 25th October 1911.

Situated in gently rolling countryside just 2 miles from central Croydon, Croham Hurst is a delightful parkland course with densely wooded areas. Built on chalk the course drains well, offering the opportunity of all year round golf

The course rewards accurate driving and the undulating greens provide an interesting challenge to golfers of all standards.

After opening with two long uphill par 4 holes players will need to ensure a good front nine score before tackling the more testing back nine holes.

This is a pleasant parkland course with excellent greens. First few holes in particular are very tough, and it certainly isn't a flat course by any means. The clubhouse is old fashioned in appearance with wooden panelling, but still very smart. There is plenty of seating outside, as well as an undercover veranda area where you can sit, with your spikes on, indoors, but with an airy breeze flowing through. This area of the clubhouse overlooks the 1st tee and 10th green.
