About the Golf Club

Colne Valley Golf Club is situated in the heart of the Colne Valley, with the River Colne meandering the length of the picturesque course; there is no better venue to escape from the rigours of modern life. Constructed in 1989 and opened in 1991, the surprisingly mature parkland layout belies its tender years, uncommon in a course so relatively new. Natural water hazards and well defined bunkers, along with U.S.G.A. standard greens offer year round playability, and a stimulating test for golfers of all abilities.

Extremely impressed with this course ! Some very well designed challenging holes. I can only recall a couple which were straight forward. Some well guarded greens requiring accurate approach shots. Scored pretty high, but i think this could be improved on with a second round having gained some course knowledge, as there are many holes where placment of tee shots is crucial to achieving par, due to dog legs, hidden undulations etc. The greens and fairways were in immaculate condition. My only critisism is that the bunkers were a bit solid.
