About the Golf Club

Situated on the very edge of the Atlantic Ocean, Cape Cornwall Golf and Country Club is the first and last 18-hole golf course in Britain!

Designed in 1990 by Bob Hamilton, who has also helped design golf courses in Scotland and Singapore, it is a truly natural golf course, and very well drained to the extent that there is never a need for winter greens.

The golf course is a challenge for the club golfer and low handicap golfer alike. Hazards include lies on existing undulating land, dry stone walls, some of which cross fairways and bunkers.

The main feature of this course is the cliff top scenery of Cape Cornwall which is truly spectacular. My brochure described the course as links; it is not, it is a parkland course on the top of the cliffs. The front nine are a bit dull, being fairly flat back and forth holes, but the start of back nine is something else. Definitely an unusual golfing experience!
