I played Brancepeth Castle last year on a hot summer's day. The walk around was wonderful and the course looked amazing. Greens were superb and the undulating fairways really were sumptuous. Some fantastic-looking tee shots across deep ravines and bramble-filled valleys. The only drawback was that as someone with a high handicap, it turned out to be a very expensive day. The high green fees are in keeping with the high quality of the course and coupled with the fact that I lost about 30 balls (a record even for me) I went home feeling that I would need to get a lot better or have a win on the lottery before I attempted it again. Still a lovely day though.
