About the Golf Club

Boyce Hill has a friendly clubhouse with a lovely terrace which overlooks the course. The course is laid out in two loops of nine holes both loops starting and ending at the clubhouse.

Boyce Hill is unusually hilly for an Essex course, whilst this makes for good views across the surrounding countryside and the Thames estuary, it means that shots are often required from uphill, downhill or side hill lies.

All in all a good challenge for all levels of golfer.

Essex is not normally the place to find hilly courses - but Boyce Hill is the exception. There are some stunning views across the Thames Estuary towards Kent and that will be some consolation if you find the tight fairways and tricky greens are causing some damage to your card. It's a course where the thinking golfer can succeed over the long hitter. Reading the greens is not easy but it's a real challenge and the service and food in the clubhouse is also top quality.
