About the Golf Club
Welcome to Bargoed Golf Club. While this is a mountain course, that doesn't mean to say you need to be a mountain goat to play it. In fact, it is a fairly easy-walking course.
There's a bit of a rise up to the fourth green but once you're up there it is fairly flat. It's a course which has a cracking finishing stretch, so you can't afford to switch off until you are safely back in the clubhouse.
The 16th is a dog-leg to the right with trees either side and out of bonds on the right while the only difference at the 18th is that the OB is on the left.

What must be an almost unique combination of extremely difficult par 3s (except for the final hole) and reasonably easy par 4s. The first hole (par 3, 230+ yards, small blind green) is the most difficult hole to par that I've encountered in my 20 years of playing golf! The course gets easier after that. The views from the course (Lake Tegid and the surrounding mountains) are absolutely stunning. Well worth a visit
