PGA Championship Quotes 2009, Day Two

The story of Tiger, Padraig, Ross Fisher and a monkey suit.

Posted Aug 15, 2009 by Iestyn George

"That's one of the best shots I've ever seen. It was definitely worth the price of admission."
Tiger Woods, who leads the 2009 PGA Championship leader after two rounds, on Padraig Harrington's astonishing 300-yard bunker shot on the 15th hole.

"He did say to me actually he would have paid to have seen it. Did he tell you that? So I asked him for 50 bucks."
The more he plays with Tiger, the cheekier 2008 PGA Championship winner Padraig Harrington gets.

"I mean, yes, Tiger is the greatest golfer I think we've ever seen, but at the end of the day, he's just like me and you. He's just a human being. He just happens to be damn good at golf."
Ross Fisher states the obvious, while making yet another impresssive showing, tied for second place at 3-under after two rounds of the 2009 PGA Championship.

"He wins the U.S. Open. A lot of guys would have said: Hold on now, I need to reel it back in a little bit but not Lucas Glover. He honored every commitment he made. That's a sure sign that there's a lot of character under that outfit that he's got on."
2009 Open champion Stewart Cink, clearly a big fan of Lucas Glover's invisible gorilla suit.

"Well, I've been working with sports psychologist, Dr. Morris Pickens, for years, and he's always said, you know, it's really not that big a deal. It took a little while for that to get through my thick skull - not taking things so seriously, a bad shot or a lip-out... "
The secret to 2009 US Open champion Lucas Glover's success - nothing to do with the gorilla suit apparently...
